Russell Eugene “Rusty” Goode, age 61, passed away peacefully at his home on March 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Russell Eugene “Rusty” Goode, age 61, passed away peacefully at his home on March 7, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.Rusty was born on October 4, 1964, to Sonja Carolyn Goode and Dean Wesley Goode. A skilled carpenter by trade, Rusty took great pride in working with his hands and building things that would last. Outside of his work, he found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially gardening with his beloved grandchildren and watching their sporting events.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sonja Carolyn Goode and Dean Wesley Goode.
Rusty is survived by his brother, Dustan Lamar “Dusty” Goode and his wife, Kristi; his sons, Russell Wesley Goode and his wife, Amelia, and Christopher Ryan Goode and his wife, LeAnne; and his cherished grandchildren, Daxton Lewis Goode, Graham Holland Goode, Maddox Russell Goode, Brooks Wesley Goode, Carolyn Elizabeth Goode, Laura Jaylin Martin, and Kobe Jordan Duckworth. He is also survived by his aunt, Genice Sing; his uncle, Danny Joe Sing; his nephew, Thaddeus Nathaniel Goode; along with a host of extended family members and friends who will deeply miss him.
Rusty will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his love for his family, and the simple happiness he found in time spent outdoors with those he loved most. His memory will live on in the lives he touched and the family who loved him dearly.
