Janice Jones, 70, of Arab, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at The Health Center at Research Park.
Born November 29, 1955 in Marshall County, Alabama, Janice was the daughter of Hoyt King and Bessie Mae Gross King.
Mrs. Jones worked in restaurant management and was known for her welcoming smile at Son’s Barbecue. She enjoyed cooking, watching television, vacations to the beach and casino, and playing with her beloved dog Bella. She cherished spending time with all of her family and friends.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her son Cody Jones, brother Roger Dale King, sisters Linda Dunn, Kathleen Franklin, and Liz Lesley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hoyt and Bessie Mae King, husband Joseph Harold Jones, brother Robert King, sisters Doris Murphree, Patricia Williams and Frances Corbin.
Visitation will be held at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM with the funeral service to follow. Michael Murphree and Bobby Murphree will be officiating. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisting with arrangements.
