James Harold Taylor, age 72, of Russellville, passed away on Friday, March 06, 2026, at his residence.
Harold was a one-of-a-kind man. He loved his family fiercely, and was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.. Above everything he loved his Jesus and was a devout Christian. He played hard and he loved hard and always had a smile on his face.
The visitation will 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026, at Spry Memorial Chapel. There will not be a graveside service, but he will be buried at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his father, Percy Taylor; mother, Austell Taylor Terrell; stepfather, LG Terrell; brothers William Taylor Jr, Ray Taylor, Terry Taylor; and sister, Margaret Taylor Everett.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 53 years, Glenda Taylor; daughters, Lisa Marsh (Kenny), Amanda New (James), Jamie Lindsey (Tommy); granddaughters, Emma Armstrong (Will), Suzanne Marsh, Sarah Smith (Elijah); grandson, Cameron New; great-grandchildren, Kennedy Mae Armstrong, William Alexander “Alex” James Armstrong; brother, Tracy Terrell (Nancy); and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
