Mr. Gary Fincher was born July 25, 1946, and died March 2, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Fincher; a son, Chris Fincher; two grandsons, Kyle Ramsey and Ryan Moore; honorary grandsons, Andrew Blanken and Lee Brannon; and a great niece that he was raised with like a sister, Carolyn Ivey; and several nieces and nephews that considered him their pawpaw.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Fincher Ramsey; father and mother, Sherman and Inez Fincher; brother, Vincent Fincher; sisters, Jean Fincher and Bernice Fincher.
Gary served in the United States Army Reserve after he graduated from Butler High School.
Gary retired from working with the Huntsville Fire Department. At the beginning of his career, he drove the fire trucks. Gary also retired from working in the lab at Huntsville Hospital.
He was a brave, kind and loving man to all around. He had selfless love.
Visitation will be from 12 to 1 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2026, at Laughlin Service Funeral Home. The service will follow in the chapel with the Rev. Mike McFarlen officiating. He will have a full Fireman’s Ceremony. He will be buried in Huntsville Memory Gardens.
