Mrs. Connie Marie Oden, age 73, of Gurley Alabama, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on June 25, 1952, to the late Ellis and Louise Wilbourn. Connie loved life and cherished the time spent with her family and friends. She will be remembered for her warm heart, kind soul, and infectious laughter that brightened the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her devoted son, Roger (Leanne) Williams, beloved granddaughters, Hope Williams, Amanda Pylant, Ashley Teal, grandson, Anthony Goss,and cherished great-grandson, Josiah Williams. Connie is also survived by stepdaughter, Debbie Matthews, and siblings Betty Utech, Vicky Pike, Glenda (Bootie) Lynch, Ricky Wilbourn, and Gary (Donna) Wilbourn. She leaves behind several loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Connie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Kenneth Oden, son Eddie Williams, daughter Sandra Williams, stepchildren Susie Glass and John Oden, her parents, Ellis and Louise Wilbourn, brothers Jimmy Gray, Randy Wilbourn, Bobby Wilbourn, sisters Kathy Oden and Lisa Wilbourn, as well as nephews TJ Utech, Michael Utech, and niece Lisa Hastings. A kind and gentle soul, Connie will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her. May she rest in peace.
The family will receive friends Saturday, March 7, 2026 6-9pm and will have a service at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 8, 2026 all at Scottsboro Funeral Home. Connie will be laid to rest at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
