Gaylon M Yow Profile Photo Gaylon M Yow, born on August 27, 1943, in Iuka, Mississippi, passed away on March 3, 2026, in Memphis, TN. She worked at Tishomingo Community Living Center as a dietary assistant for 17 years and truly loved it. Gaylon was known for her fun and spitfire personality.

Gaylon enjoyed dancing, shopping, and doing yard work. Along with that, her hobbies included sewing, quilting, embroidery, crocheting, and she especially enjoyed eating fish. Gaylon will be remembered fondly by her family and friends.

She is survived by her sons, Trent L. Yow (DeAnna) and Wesley L. Yow (Justin); her grandchildren, Elizabeth Mae and Marley Grace Yow; her sister, Martha Mote Roberts; her special niece, Desiree Russell (Ronnie); her dog, Bailey; and a host of other family members and friends.

Gaylon was preceded in death by her husband, Hoyat Yow; her daughter, Sabrina Dawn Yow; her parents, Lorine and Omer “Fatty” Adcock; and her siblings, Omer Alton Adcock and Lola May Sheppard.

Cutshall Funeral Home in Iuka, MS, is entrusted with the arrangements. Visitation will be held on March 9, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Cutshall Funeral Home – Iuka, located at 302 North Pearl Street, Iuka, MS 38852. The funeral service will follow on Monday at 2:00 PM at the funeral home, officiated by Bro. Michael Lambert.
