Carolyn Sue Payne, age 76, of Moulton, Alabama, passed away on February 18, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 29, 1949, to Joe and Katie Frankie Payne. Carolyn enjoyed watching Alabama football and was known to be an avid fan. She spent most of her time watching her grandchildren play sports, always being their biggest supporter. She also enjoyed butter pecan ice cream. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Moulton Heritage Funeral Home in Moulton, Alabama. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Carolyn is survived by her sons, Earl Fossett, Charles Hutcheson, and Bruce Box; daughter, Suzan (Scott) Wallace; grandchildren, Benjamin (Cameron) Fossett, Andrea (Kevin) Shultz, Anthony Fossett, and Lauryn (Drew) Wallace; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Jo Ann Carter, Margaret (Carl) Harper, and Flossie (Junior) Box; and brother, Tom Payne. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Katie Frankie Payne; brothers, Bradley Payne, James C. Payne, and Charles Payne; and sister, Malbalean Kirby.
