Funeral service for DeeAnn Wilborn Owen, 60, of Hartselle will be Monday, March 2, 2026, in the Chapel at Peck Funeral Home at 1 PM. Visitation will be Monday, March 2, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM.
DeeAnn Wilborn Owen was born on September 3, 1965, in Odessa, TX, to Franklin D. and Margaret Ann Pettit Wilborn. She passed away peacefully in her home on February 26, 2026.
Although having spent most of her life in Hartselle, she still had ties to friends in her hometown, who she considered family. After graduating from HHS in 1984, she went to cosmetology school and also went to school for business. Her favorite job was being a mother, a DeeDee, and working the dispatch trailer at Western Express, where she met her husband, Tim.
She was a selfless woman, and would give anyone help if they needed it. She loved reading mysteries, specifically Stephen King, and knew more about Harry Potter than the author of the books. She had the biggest heart when it came to animals, and never met one she did not want to rescue. She was the glue that held her family together, and was devoted to her family. A true southerner that would be on the porch during a thunderstorm.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Charles “Chuck” Wilborn, grandparents, aunts, and her nephew.
The biggest joy of her life was becoming DeeDee to her precious grandson, Miles, whom she called her “Scooby”.
She is survived by her husband, Tim Owen, her daughter, Amanda Wiley (Brantley), and her grandson, Miles Wiley.
Knowing her was to love her. Any person she made friends with was instantly considered family. The hole left in the hearts of her family have been filled with joy knowing she is reunited with our Lord and her family in Heaven, after a long journey apart.
Pallbearers will be close friends and church members of the family.
