Ricky Andrew Lanier, 67, of Anderson, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at his residence.
Ricky was a dedicated and hardworking man who devoted 35 years of service to T.J. Moss Lumber Company. He took great pride in his work and the relationships he built throughout the years.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures — drinking coffee, casting a line while fishing, and enjoying a good game of cards with family and friends. Above all else, Ricky loved his family deeply. His greatest happiness came from time spent with his loved ones, especially his grandchildren, who brought pride and joy to his life.
Visitation will be Sunday, March 1st from 3 – 5 p.m. at Rogersville Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, March 2nd at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church with Bill Barlow officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Cemetery.
Mr. Lanier was preceded in death by his father, Mitchell Andrew Lanier; wife, Melody Ann Lanier; brothers, Dwight Lanier and Danny Lanier; brother-in-law, Tony Phillips. He is survived by his mother, Dessie Roach; daughters, Nicole (Jason) Brigner; Katie Copeland; grandchildren, Breanna (Dakota) Wales, Taylor Brigner, Koda and Samuel Copeland; sisters, Kay Phillips and Connie (Gary) Beavers; brother, Randy Lanier; numerous nieces and nephews.
