It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our beloved mother Dorothy (Dot) Jean Grayson. Born October 28,1933 to parents, Ike Wood and Oma (Conley) Wood , she passed away peacefully Saturday, February 21,2026, with family by her side.
She is survived by four daughters: Diane Gross, Becky Hill, Teresa Martin, Mitzi Whisenant, and four grandchildren with seven great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Grayson.
Dot was an extraordinary person who always tried to make everyone feel special. She dedicated her life to creating a warm and nurturing home. She enjoyed baking and sewing.
However, her sanctuary was out of doors where she loved working in the yard.
A celebration of her life will be at Guntersville Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 12 noon with internment at Crestview Cemetery.
