Joy Lou Guice, age 75 of Albertville passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at her home.
She is survived by her daughter; Michelle Pankey (Wayne), sons: Judd Guice (Candida) and Chris Guice (Caryn Lee and her son, Kaiden), grandchildren; Lexie and Kaylee Brown, Caitlin Turner (Logan), Alec Guice, Allyssa Laughlin (Tyler), Austin Pankey (Brittany), Averyana and Ayden Pankey and a host of great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother; Ruth Lowery, sisters; Judy Bonds (Daryl) and Vee Lowery and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Charles Freddie Guice and her father; Vernon Lowery.
We invite all family and friends to join us as we celebrate the beautiful life of Joy Guice on February 21st from 2:00–4:00 PM at Shepard’s cove hospice community center, located at 408 Martling Rd STE A-105, Albertville, AL 35951.
Pink was her favorite color, and in her honor we would love for everyone to wear pink as we come together to remember her, share stories, and celebrate the love she gave so freely.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be greatly appreciated — either to Shepherds Cove in honor of the gracious nurses who helped guide our family through this difficult time, or to Children’s of Alabama, where her granddaughter Lexie works. Joy was so incredibly proud of the work Lexie does at Children’s. If donating to Children’s of Alabama, you may direct your donation specifically to the NICU, where Lexie works.
