Edward Earl “Eddie” Sparks, 67, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at NMMC in Tupelo, MS. He was born in Mississippi to Willie Joe and Grace Davis Sparks. Eddie loved spending time with his grandchildren and attending all the activities they were involved in. You could always find him at New Site Basketball games often working in the concession stand and supporting the team.
Funeral services will be Sunday, February 22, 4 p.m. at East Prentiss Baptist Church in New Site. Visitation will be Sunday, February 22, 2-4 p.m. at East Prentiss Baptist Church. Burial will be in Little Brown Cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home, Belmont, MS will be in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by three children, Byron Sparks (Lauren), Cassie McCutchen (Jeff) and Blake Sparks; his grandchildren, Lillie Grace and Baylor Ann McCutchen and Cooper, Shep and Ty Sparks; his brothers, Donnie Joe Sparks (Kathy), Roger Sparks (Melissa), Randy Sparks and Brint Sparks and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers will be Byron Sparks, Cooper Sparks, Blake Sparks, Brint Sparks, Jeff McCutchen and Shawn Sparks. Donnie Joe Sparks and Roger Sparks will serve as honorary pallbearers.
