Maxine "Max" Burns Profile PhotoA Celebration of Life Service for Maxine “Max” Burns, 85 of Corinth, MS, will be Friday, February 20, 2026 at 2:00 P M at Magnolia Funeral Home – East Chapel with interment in Vanderford Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 5:00 P M to 8:00 P M and Friday, February 20, 2026 from 1:00 P M until service time at Magnolia Funeral Home – East. Bro. Cory Burcham and Bro. Keith Burcham will officiate the service. Mrs. Burns passed away Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. She was born February 12, 1941 in Corinth, MS to Tillman and Virgie Rorie Burcham. She was of the Pentecostal faith and a member of Tobes Chapel Church. She enjoyed walking in the park, singing and playing the piano. She loved reading her Bible and spending time with her grandchildren. Max is survived by her son, Alan Garrison (Leah Sparks); her daughters, Cynthia Rene Pastell and Lisa Hall; 11 grandchildren, Shadow Stover (Wesley), John Guffey, Alan Garrison, Eric Byron, Harlie Stover, Tara Bivins, Jason Pastell (Heather), Keith Barnes (Randi), Amber Hall, Sean Hall (Reva) and Dylon Ritter; 22 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces, other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in by her husband of 22 years, Garland Burns; her grandson, Phillip Hansen; her father, Tillman Burcham; her mother, Virgie Rorie Burcham; her brothers, Carlos Burcham, Kenneth Burcham, Slim Burcham, Wallace Burcham, Ronnie Lee Burcham, Jimmy Lloyd Burcham and Obie Leon Burcham and her sisters, Christine Sellers, Annie Sue Coln and Dorothy Burcham. Pallearers will be Alan Garrison, John Guffey, Sean Hall and Sammy Burcham. Magnolia Funeral Home has been honored to serve the family of Mrs. Maxine “Max” Burns.
