FLORENCE-After 4 days of trial, a Lauderdale County jury found Melissa Allison guilty of domestic violence 2nd degree- assault 2nd degree, domestic violence 2nd degree-criminal mischief 1st degree, and leaving the scene of an accident with

injuries. Allison was charged after she rammed her vehicle into the vehicle occupied by her husband multiple times.

I want to recognize the tireless work of Assistant District Attorney Coty Hand and Florence Police Officer LaDrecus Smith in bringing this case forward. I also want to thank the victim for his patience and bravery throughout the process.
Allison will be sentenced on March 5 by Judge Graves.
