Jimmy Russell Sanderson, age 56, of Russellville, passed away on February 9, 2026, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama. He was born on August 4, 1969 to Jimmy Ray and Verna May Sanderson in Tuscumbia, Alabama. Russell worked as a plumber and was known for his ability to fix just about anything he put his hands on. He had a passion for motorcycles and fast cars, and he also had a deep appreciation for music, enjoying a wide variety of sounds and styles. Russell was survived by his son, Arlie Sanderson; daughters, Andrea Sanderson, and Ashley Brown; and brother, Carl Sanderson. Russell was dearly loved by his family and friends, who will remember his skills, his interests, and the many moments shared with him. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
