FLORENCE-Florence Arts & Museums is happy to announce another of our Storytime at the Museum series. Our Museum Educator is inviting families of ALL ages, with children’s literature focusing on the Chickasaw animal story of the possum on Friday, February 20th, from 10-11am at the Florence Mound Museum. The story read aloud will be A Possum’s Tale, A Retelling of a Southeastern Native American Tale, retold by Amy Bruton Bluemel. After listening to the story, families will have the opportunity to create a googly-eyed possum to take home or display in the museum.
This program is sponsored by Florence Arts & Museums and will be free to the public. The Florence Mound Museum is open to the public for self-guided tours and other scheduled programming on Tuesday-Saturday from 10-4pm, and on Sunday from 1-4pm. The Florence Mound Museum is located at 1028 S. Court Street, Florence, AL 35630.
