Mildred Lemmond WatkinsA Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Mildred Lemmond Watkins, 91, will be Monday, February 16, 2026, at 2:30 PM at Center Springs Cemetery with Bro. Johnny Maxwell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. No public visitation is scheduled.

Mrs. Watkins went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday morning February 12th, 2026, at her home surround by people who loved her.  She was born September 23, 1934, in Morgan County to Louie Charest and Annie Mae Parker Charest.

Mrs. Watkins was employed at Automatic Electric and Chrysler where she retired.  Mrs. Watkins was one of the founding members of Natures Trail Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Preceding her in death were her parents Louie Charest and Annie Mae (Parker) Charest, her first husband- Cameron Lemmond, her second husband- Joe Fred Watkins, and two sisters- Beatrice Freeze and Anne Wilson Durand and one Niece- Teresa Kay Swader, and special friend- Acklin Maxwell.

Survivors included-
a Daughter – Kim (Lemmond) Hazel,

Granddaughter -Kimberly Dawn Hazel,

And one sister – Peggy Dudley and husband Roger Dudley,

And a Host of Nieces and Nephews and chosen family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Robert Freeman, Byron Turney, Keith Wilson, Daniel Hargroves,
Anthony Maxwell, and Michael Steelman.

The family would like to thank all that was on her care team her Practioner’s at Priceville Primary Care, Brooke Bevis and her nurse, Ally, Emily Moore, at Decatur Morgan Neurology, the Staff at Aveanna Hospice Care, and her two precious sitters who loved her so, Kimberly Hargroves, and Kourtney Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, family asks that donations be made to Dementia research, Caregiver programs or local Hospice services.
