Paula Boyd LangleyPaula Boyd Langley, a lifelong resident of Albertville, Alabama, was born on June 26, 1942, in Albertville and passed away surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Paula’s life was rooted in family, community, and the place she called home. She carried a quiet strength and caring spirit that touched everyone who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will carry her love with them always: her daughter, Laura Ann Gibbs of Glencoe, Alabama; her grandson, Brady Gibbs of Newnan, Georgia; her granddaughter, Chelsea Gibbs of Glencoe, Alabama; and her precious great-granddaughters, Marley Gibbs and Ella Tooley. She is also lovingly remembered by her son, Chris Langley of Greensboro, North Carolina; his wife, Christa Langley; and granddaughter, Rachael Langley Madsen, and her husband, Josh Madsen, both of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Paula is also survived by her dear sister, Becky Carnes, and Becky’s husband, Ed Carnes, of Montgomery, Alabama, and their daughter, Julie Hollberg, of Marietta, Georgia; her sister, Cindy Boyd, of Boaz, Alabama; and her grandchildren, Farryn Langley and Kase Langley, both of Arab, Alabama. Each of them was a special part of her life, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in all of them.

Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert & Opha Boyd, and her son, Ricky Langley, who passed away on January 31, 2025.

Paula loved her family deeply and was the kindest and most genuine person we knew. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered. A private family graveside service will be held at Memory Hill Cemetery.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff of Marshall Manor Nursing Home and Shepherd’s Cove Hospice for their professional, courteous, and compassionate care of our mother during her final, difficult days and kindly requests that donations be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice in lieu of flowers – https://www.shepherdscove.org/
