Jane Sandlin Beddingfield, 93, of Athens, passed away on Sunday, February 8th, 2026, at Athens Health and Rehabilitation. Mrs. Beddingfield was born on November 5th, 1932, in Limestone County, Alabama, to Robert and Laura (Slate) Sandlin.
Mrs. Beddingfield is survived by her daughters, Ginger B. Adams (John A.) and Laura A. Beddingfield; sisters, Nella McKee (Harold), and Caro-Lynn McAllister; brother, George Sandlin; and several nieces and nephews. She was lovingly known as “Babo” to Monica, Hollis, McKenna, Brett, Misty, Beau, Pat and Evan.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Glen Beddingfield; daughter, Dr. Connie S. Beddingfield; son, Glen Albert Beddingfield; grandson, Joshua Stewart Beddingfield; three brothers, two sisters; and parents, Robert and Laura Sandlin.
Graveside services for Mrs. Beddingfield will be February 11th, 2026, at Limestone Memorial Gardens, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Beddingfield was a long-time member of New Hope Church of Christ.
