Melba Ann Irwin (Spencer) 47210902 Ms. Melba Ann Spencer Irwin, 78, of Lobelville, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2026, at AHC Decatur County Health & Rehab. She was born in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late Leon Albert Spencer and Mary Elizabeth Williams Spencer. Melba was a retired Registered Nurse having last worked for St. Thomas Hospital. She was a member of the first graduating Class of RN’s from Columbia State. She was a member of the Upper Sinking Creek Church of Christ. She loved growing flowers and plants and doing yardwork.

In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Bill Irwin and a son John Christopher Irwin.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law David and Dena Irwin of Lobelville, grandchildren Dedra (Corbin) Ekberg of Pinson and Drew (Madison) Irwin of Linden, great-grandson Rowan Ekberg, sisters-in-law Katherine Smith and Geraldine Irwin and a host of other loving family members and many friends.

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 3:00 pm – 8:00 pm at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church Street, Lewisburg, TN.

Funeral Service will be conducted on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home and Crematory. Burial will follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
