Lane Allen, Jr., age 85, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at his residence.
He was born August 1, 1940, in Lewisburg, Tennessee, to the late Elbert Lane Allen, Sr. and Amanda Allen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Shawn Dawayne Allen and grandson Cameron Sean Allen.
He is survived by his loving partner of 23 years, Cathey Becquet of Lewisburg; sister, Sharri Miller of Lewisburg; nephews, Jeff and Chase Perryman both of Lewisburg; Aunt Hazel of Memphis and several cousins.
He pursued his education at Marshall County High School where he successfully completed his studies graduating in 1958. He began his working life as a butcher at his father’s grocery store. In this role, he gained significant hands-on experience which allowed him to develop valuable skills and a strong work ethic. Most recently, he worked as a property manager and enjoyed restoring homes. He was an enthusiastic sports fan and avid basketball player. He regularly enjoyed watching games and also took part in competitive play. He served his country as a member of the Tennessee Army National Guard and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church St., Lewisburg, TN, on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 1:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Short Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
