To Mrs. Chomskis and family, I extend my deepest condolences in your loss. Roman was the interim CSM when I arrived at Camp Holloway for assignment with the 52nd Aviation Battalion. I am proud to have served with him from June 1970 until he returned to his designated assignment as first sergeant with the 189th Aviation Company. Even after his return to the 189th, he would check on how I was doing. He treated me with respect and we developed a friendship that I have always cherished. You could always count on him to be fair, honest and straightforward whenever you needed his help. I will always remember him and the time we served together as Flying Dragons. Thank you Sergeant Major for everything you did for me and, most of all, your friendship.
