Willian Joseph “Billy” Green, age 90, passed from this life Monday February 2, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. Billy was a Van Buren County native born on January 7, 1936 to the late Willie and Loulla Hargis Green. Billy was a coon hunter in the past, loved to play golf and being with his family. He was of the Baptist faith and attended First Baptist Church of Spencer.
Billy is survived by his loving family, wife; Jane Sadowski Green, daughters; Pamela Green, Melissa (Brian) Marconi, Nancy (Sam) Lawson all of Spencer, grandchildren; Amy Hopkins, Jim (Judy) Hopkins, Tamera Hopkins, Brittany Lawson, Randy Farley, Charity Stafford, Destiny Kloosterman, Keely Martin, Brandon Kester, Julia Marconi, Jessica Marconi, Justin Marconi, David Degroff, great-grandchildren; Kyler Hopkins, Amber Pack, Nick Tibbetts, Adrianna Tibbetts, McKenzie Tibbetts, Jonah Bond, Maleigha Hopkins, Ryker Hopkins, Jaxon Farley, great-great-grandchild; Maylynn Rose Hopkins, sister; Margie Sapp, brothers; Junior (Renee) Madewell, Bobby Madewell, brother-in-law; Wayne Martin, sister-in-law; Lela Green. Several nieces, nephews, and extended family also survive. Also, his special furry Pals: Baily, Gator and Pee Wee.

Funeral services will be held Saturday February 7, 2026 at 1:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Wayne Sullivan and Bro. Nathan Haynes officiating. Burial will follow in Spencer Town Cemetery. Visitation times are Friday 4:00pm-9:0pm and Saturday 9:00am till time of service at 1:00pm.
