Donald Eugene Skinner  Funeral service with military honors for Donald Eugene Skinner, 74, of Vinemont will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at Living Faith Baptist Church with interment in Jones Chapel Cemetery, Rev. Larry Brown officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 12-2 prior to the service.

Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.

Mr. Skinner passed away February 2, 2026 at Cullman Regional Hospital.  He was born April 12, 1951 to Cleo Chester and Velma Mae Vance Skinner.  He served his country in the United States Navy stationed with the Marines as a Hospital Corpsman.  Donald was a member of Living Faith Baptist Church.  He was an Auburn fan and he loved talking politics. He was truly a great man–one who loved God with his whole heart, cherished his wife, and adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren beyond measure.  He served his country with pride, honor, and quiet strength, and that pride was something we all felt.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Louise Maze and an infant brother, Billy Skinner.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Linda Skinner; son, Scotty (Tanya) Skinner; daughters, Amy (Mike) Whitaker, Lisa (Chris) Holt, Tera (Seth Givens) Skinner, Natasha (Wendell) Talley; brother, Chester Skinner; grandchildren, Sierra (Kevin) Baldwin, Savanah (Ben) Vandiver, Abby (Dustin) Miller, Malachi Holt, Makinnon Holt, Ethan Bagwell, Elizabeth Bagwell, Bryant Talley, Keylee Talley; great-grandchildren, Ava Baldwin, Eliza Baldwin, Thomas Miller, family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Malachi Holt, Makinnon Holt, Leslie Bagwell, John Brannon, Aiden Tankerslay, Ethan O’Rear.
