Kenneth "Kenny" Ray ChastainKenneth “Kenny” Ray Chastain, age 65, a longtime resident of the Ruth Community in Arab, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday morning, January 28, 2026. Kenny was born on December 18, 1960, in Marshall County, Alabama, to Russell Ray Chastain and Ruth Marie Smallwood Chastain. He proudly served his country as a member of the Alabama National Guard. His love of the outdoors and nature led him to employment in the maintenance department at Twin Lakes and Chesley Oaks Golf Courses.

Kenny was a good man with simple pleasures. In his early years he loved to hunt, especially deer. As time evolved his interest led to more relaxing activities. He enjoyed watching the old westerns on TV, loved Alabama football, and taking long drives in the neighborhood and countryside.

Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Ruth Chastain. He is survived by his daughter, Tabitha Corr; siblings, Carolyn Cooper, Annette Duncan and David Chastain (Shirley); grandchildren, Riley Corr and Payton Corr.

Services for Kenny will include a Memorial visitation on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel. Family, friends and guests will meet between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00pm to reminisce, acknowledge and honor Kenny’s memory. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel assisting the family with arrangements.
