Evelyn Hughes Weatherford, age 93, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Maury Regional Transitional Care Center.
She was born January 9, 1933, in Giles County, Tennessee, to the late Edgar and Ola Crabtree Hughes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Weatherford and Charles Renegar and a grandson, Richard Scarfone Jr.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie (Phillip) Edde and Barbara (Ken) White both of Lewisburg; grandchildren, Bobby Edde, Renee Halkett, Kacy Castaneda, and Ryan White; great grandchildren, Brox Senterfeit, Gaines Scarfone, Zoie Bondurant, Marysa Edde, Riley Bondurant, Reagan Scarfone, Julie Edde, Julie Turner, Maddie White, Clay White and Ava White; great great grandchild Renley Scarfone.
She served as church secretary at Westvue Church of Christ for several years. This role involved supporting church operations, organizing events, and helping members stay connected. Socializing played a vital role throughout her life, fostering strong relationships and a sense of belonging. She enjoyed cooking and being creative through sewing and quilting. She enjoyed spending time outdoors simply enjoying the fresh air which provided a sense of peace and connection to nature. Her life reflects a deep appreciation for the simple joys of living and a lasting impact on the church, the community and her family.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church St., Lewisburg, TN, on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm and will continue on Saturday, January 31, 2026, until the funeral hour.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
