With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Linden Faye Gates-Gant on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Known as Lindy, she was born on Saturday, December 27, 2025, to her loving parents, Kelsey Gates and Clayton Gant. With her blue eyes and brown hair, her dad proudly deemed her the cutest thing he had ever seen.

Lindy will be forever cherished and remembered by her parents, Kelsey Gates and Clayton Gant, and her sisters, Henley and Hadley Wilson, all of Jackson, TN. She will also be deeply missed by her loving grandparents, Daniel and Leeanne Gates and Tony and Gloria Gant; aunts and uncles, Kerri Gates-Rowland, Tawnee Easley (Will), Laura Gavito (Carey), and Christopher Gant (Joanie); bonus aunt Kimberly Sellers (Jonathan); bonus grandmother Kathy Faye Mainord; great-grandparents Imogene Gates, Connie Epolito, and Jim and Lynn Epolito; and many loving great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Cherri Therese McDaniel; uncle, Stephen Gant; second cousin, Scott Baugus; and great-grandparents Orvin Gates and James Robert and Lorene Gant.

SERVICE: The family will gather privately to share memories and honor their beloved Lindy. Burial will take place at Ridgecrest Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the National Down Syndrome Society at www.ndss.org.

Lindy was the strongest baby imaginable. She defeated statistics and crushed doubts. She loved to stare at her mother and be fed by her father. Her time will always be cherished, and her memory will be carried forward with love and reverence.

Too beautiful for earth, and far too loved to leave it. We will cherish you forever, Lindy Faye.
