Edward Michael Rea “Mike”, 84, passed away the morning of January 5, 2026. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Barry Rea, and mother, Velma Louise Rea. He is survived by his wife, Esther Kay Rea (Hardeman) from Riverton; daughters, Laurel and Koren; and six grandchildren.
Mike was born in East St. Louis, Missouri, and graduated from Sheffield High School in Alabama in 1959. His career moved him across the country, but his fondness for Sheffield never faded.
Rosary (10:30 am) and Funeral Mass (11:00 am) will be held on January 29, 2026, at St. Rose de Viterbo, 1571 Nichols Blvd., Longview, WA 98632. Reception to follow (1:30 pm) at Elks Lodge 1482, 900 Ash St., Kelso, WA 98626.
