Michael Franklin Colvin, age 73, was a lifelong resident of Geraldine, Alabama. Mike faithfully completed his earthly walk with the Lord on January 25, 2026. Mike was a lifelong cattle farmer, truck driver, and faithful member of Concord Baptist Church. Mike was a dedicated follower of Christ, and his priority was to honor the Lord in the way he lived. Anyone who knew Mike knew him for his joy. Even as he left this world behind and was received into the arms of Jesus, Mike was smiling. Mike’s unwavering joy, even in his final moments on Earth, came from the Lord and his priority in Mike’s life.
Mike’s greatest joy was his family. Welcoming him to heaven alongside his Savior were his parents, Tallie and Buna Colvin, and his brother, Tommy. Mike was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Linda Colvin, for 53 years. Mike had two children whom he loved dearly: his daughter, Michele Noles, and her husband, Drew, and his son, Jonathan Colvin, and his wife, Jenny. Mike also had five grandchildren who adored him: Andy (Brileigh) Noles, Will Noles, Jaxon Colvin, Caroline Colvin, and Cannon Colvin. He also cherished his relationship with his extended family, especially his nephews, Russell and Joey Satterfield. Mike played an integral role in the lives of his grandchildren as an encourager and role model. He could always be found smiling from the bleachers as he supported his grandchildren at their ball games.
Mike’s influence on the lives of his family, friends, and church family is indispensable. His lifelong example of seeking the Lord lives on in the hearts of those he loved. Mike’s family and friends take pride in Mike’s fulfillment of a lifelong walk with Christ as reflected in his favorite scripture found in 2 Timothy 4:7: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 28, 2026, at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home from 4:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Concord Baptist Church with a lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Graveside services will follow at Concord Baptist Church.
