Jean Kittles Strickland of Jasper passed away on January 24.
She is survived by her daughter Yolanda Eisenstein and husband Dr. Abram Eisenstein of Santa Fe, NM, her devoted friend Teresa Prince, and Teresa’s grandson Brodie Whitlow of Empire, AL.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Celia Cain, Christine Kittles, Elsie Latham, and Mae Pickrell, all of Jasper.
Jean would wish to be remembered as someone who cared deeply for animals, and her cats were a source of comfort and companionship in her later years. As was her wish, she was laid to rest in a private ceremony at Walker Memory Gardens with her grandmother, mother, and sisters.
