Margie R. Mays, age 86, of Hamilton, Alabama passed away Thursday, January 22, 2026, at NMMC- Hamilton. She was born in Alabama on February 21, 1939, to Leornard Nixon and Eva Dell Yeilding Nixon.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 24, 2026, from 10-11 a.m. at Marion County Funeral Home. The service will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Bro. Ryan Gallager, officiating and burial at Hamilton Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leornard and Eva Dell Nixon; granddaughters, Rayanna and Rainia King; siblings, Hayward (Virginia) Nixon, Joel (Doris) Nixon, Norma Lou (Roy) Brooks, Gennetta Cayson, Jettie Jewel; four infant brothers and sister.
She leaves to cherish her memories, children, Darrell Mays, Rita King (husband, Ricky); grandchildren, Ryan King (wife, Carrie), Garrison Mays, Reegan King; Great-grandchildren, Ruby King, Millie King, Hattie King; sister, Eva Carol Sartain; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
