Mr. Ralph G. Black, 64, of Calera, formally of Dora, passed away January 21, 2026.
He graduated from Dora High School, where he was a great athlete, captain of the football team and voted most handsome by his classmates. He was a member of Sumiton Church of God where he sang in the choir. He was also a proud singer in a small band. He was a huge Auburn fan, loved basketball. He always said Charles Barkley was his best friend. He loved his job at Alpha Lumber Inc.
Ralph was born to the late Jerry and Marilyn Black; he was also preceded in death by his brother Ronney Black and two precious fur babies Izzy and Gus.
He is survived by three daughters Elia Black, Ericak Tubbs, Alexia Black, nephew Bart Black, niece Elizabeth Black, Aunt Diane (Toby) Morgan and Uncle Sam Black.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00pm, Monday, January 26, 2026, at New Horizon Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time.
