Anna Lucille Prater Brimer, age 79, passed away on January 21, 2026, at home from an extended illness. Anna was born on February 10, 1946, to the late Haskell and Emma Alene Myers Prater. A devoted homemaker, Anna loved cooking and baking, especially for those she loved. She cherished her family and was a faithful member of the Spencer Church of God.
In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by husband of 61 years, Billy Brimer.
She is survived by her loving family, daughters; Denise (Glenn) Rogers, Tammy (Ed Guy) Oconnor, sisters; Wanda (Eddie) Beard, Treva Fletcher, grandchildren; Joshua (Brooke) Russell, Roger Manus Jr., Johnathan (Ruby) Manus, great-grandchildren; Leah (Alyssa) Russell, Lacy Russell, Trenton Manus, Skyylin Manus, Joshua Roberts, Jacob Vinson, Ella Cantrell, Silas Rogers, Ava Rogers. A large extended family also survives.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Anna Lucille Brimer will be held on Friday January 23, 2026, at 11:00am in the Layne Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Danny Rogers and Joshua Russell officiating. Burial will follow in Gravel Hill Cemetery. Visitation times are Thursday January 22, 2026, from 4:00pm to 9:00pm, and Friday January 23, 2026, from 9:00am until the time of service at 11:00am.
