Robert Wayne Johnston, age 78 of Hanceville, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Brookwood Hospital in Homewood. He was born April 3, 1947 to Robert and Martha West Eaton Johnston. Robert proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed watching Nascar and Alabama Football. In his early years, he enjoyed boating out on the lake. Robert loved being around his grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, January 29 2026 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Moulton Heritage Funeral Home, where the service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be at Bethany Baptist in Crane Hill. Trever Price will officiate. Robert is survived by his son, Robert Lee Johnston; daughter, Nicole Wright; brothers, Andy Johnston, Ronnie Johnston, and Rodney Eaton; grandchildren, Kaylee Price (Trever), Abby Gibbs (Tanner), Mason Obrien, Dylan Sandfer, and Caleb Dill; great grandchildren, Kenton Price, Kirkland Price, and Karter Price; best friend, Judy Thomas; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Johnston; parents, Robert and Martha West Eaton Johnston; son, John David Wilson; and daughter, Jordan Wilson.
