Mrs. Shirley Hill Morris, age 88 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Highlands Medical Center.
Shirley was born in Jackson County Alabama on September 24, 1937 to Webb & Essie Fowler Hill. She spent many years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. In her spare time, Shirley was a great poet, having written over 1200 poems. She also loved to crochet and work in her garden.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Marvin Morris (Claudia) and Tony Morris (Sheila); 8 grandchildren, Jason Morris, Amy Humphries (Robert), Emily Huffman (Jason), Keneta Morris, Tirsah Thrash (Taylor), Carla Taylor (Mickey), Kyle Morris (Ashley), and Josh Fralick (Shelby); 12 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Morris; son, Danny Morris; and 7 siblings.
The family will receive friends at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 from 5-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 22, 2026 in the chapel of Scottsboro Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Morris Cemetery in Estillfork.
