Brian Lee Johnson, age 65 of the Dogtown community, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026. He was born on December 10, 1960 in Shelbyville, IN to the late Robert & Carolyn McKenney Johnson. Brian owned and operated his construction business, Thunder By The Canyon, LLC. He was a member of Wills Valley Community Church, on the Staff Board of Ponderosa Bible Camp and involved in missionary work in Haiti.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2026 at the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Adamsburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jennifer Johnson, Josh Eberhart, Jess Langford, Grant Eberhart, Micah Richardson, Neil Venable, and Matt Chesser.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Johnson; children, Jennifer Johnson (daughter of Marti Mentzer), Kristina (Jess) Langford and Josh (Amanda) Eberhart; grandchildren, Gracie Ogle (Grant), Emma Richarson (Micah), Grant Eberhart, Wyatt Langford, and Andy Eberhart; great-grandchildren, Nolynn Ogle and John Richardson; sisters, Sandy Jones, Sheryl (Andy) Kelly and Terri (Gary) Weber; mother-in-law, Burma (Chris) Murphy; father-in-law, Gerald Watson; sisters-in-law, Toni Chandler and Jennifer Eason; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and many many friends.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Nicole Johnson; parents, Bob & Carolyn Johnson; father-in-law, Leonard Eason; son-in-law, Andy Reed; brothers-in-law, Jim Chandler, Mark Eason and Mike Jones.
