Tsuin "Hi-Ching" Hwang Walters Tsuin “Hi-Ching” Hwang Walters passed away peacefully on Jan 16, 2026 at 6:40a.m. She was 82 years old.

Born in Taiwan, Tsuin moved to the United States in the 1970s, building a life filled with love, family, and joy in Huntsville. Known affectionately as Hi-Ching, she was well known for living a healthy lifestyle, taking daily two-mile walks and proudly following an Asian diet.

She worked many years as a waitress in Montgomery, Alabama, where her warm smile and friendly spirit touched the lives of countless customers.

Tsuin is survived by her devoted husband of 19 years, Johnnie Walters, and her 52-year-old daughter, Tracy Kinsley, who lives in Colorado.

A passionate traveler, Tsuin loved exploring new places and cultures. She took great joy in hosting friends and family in her home, creating warm, welcoming gatherings filled with laughter and connection. A fan of Mexican cuisine, she cherished her Friday tradition of enjoying two margaritas.

Her kindness, generosity, and spirited zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

No services are planned at this time. Berryhill Funeral Home assisted the family.
