The last four to five years have been difficult. Time and anatomy has ruled over the ages by taking of many friends and family members, who unable to overcome the desire to remain and continue with known passion has found their way to the promised land.

Jean Grady, who passed away Sunday, January 11th, 2026, has congregated with friends and family soul to soul namely husband Kenneth G. Grady, brother John, and many brother and sister in-laws.

Jean, as a child, was christened as a Lutheran

Jean was a wonderful mother and Wife

A gifted artist who loved to paint

An RN who worked for the government in the Redstone Arsenal Hospital who retired from there

Jean and Kenneth spent time in Germany due to the Army stationing Kenneth. Their only child was born in Wurzberg

Both Jean and Kenneth were members of the Cahaba Shriners Temple, Jean of the women’s auxiliary

They were both lovers of dogs. They raised and bred Great Danes, some were showed in national competitions — one of which won Best of Show

Additionally, both loved antique automobiles one of which they owned: a 1932 Essex. This was also a Best of Show winner up north.

Jean was driven to have fun, travel, create and compete and love

A one of a kind who I love…and will be missed until my time.
