Ricky Dewayne Lott, 70, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, January 10th, 2026, Athens-Limestone Hospital. Mr. Lott was born on July 30th, 1955, in Limestone County, Alabama, to Junior and Rachel (Newman) Lott.
Ricky Dewayne Lott, 70, of Athens, passed away on Saturday, January 10th, 2026, Athens-Limestone Hospital. Mr. Lott was born on July 30th, 1955, in Limestone County, Alabama, to Junior and Rachel (Newman) Lott.
Mr. Lott is survived by his sons, Timothy Lott (Erin) and Matthew Lott (Karen); grandchildren, Addie, Joseph, Chase, John, James, and Charlotte Lott; a host of nieces and nephews; and sister, Robbie Parker.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Rachel Lott; wife, Barbra Smith Lott; and brother, Doyle Lott.
A funeral service for Mr. Lott will be Friday, January 16th, 2026, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home, at 2:00 p.m., with Jerry Smith and Kip McKee. Visitation will be Friday, from 12:00 to 1:45 p.m., at the funeral home. Burial will be at Pleasant Point Cemetery.
