Ruby Helums, 96, of Ardmore, Alabama passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
She was born on Thursday, March 14, 1929, in Hazel Green, Alabama to the to the late Mr. Roy Rogers and Mrs. Birdie Watson Rogers.
She lived all her life in Ardmore. Ruby was member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband Odie “Pete” Helums, both of her parents, one son, Curtis Helums, one brother, Wilson Rogers, two sisters: Lillian Rogers and Nell Rogers.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Mindy Raney, four great grandchildren, one niece: Kathy Curry.
A visitation will be held at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home in Ardmore, Alabama on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 10:00 AM till 12:00 PM (Noon), the Funeral Service will be held directly afterwards beginning at 12:00 PM (NOON) with Bro. Jeff Drake officiating. Burial will follow in Gatlin Cemetery, located in Ardmore, Alabama.
Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home will be assisting the family with services.
