Joyce Elaine Daniel, age 70, of Decatur, passed away on January 11, 2026, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. She was born on February 22, 1955, to Elden and Greta Wooters. Joyce cherished vacations in the Smoky Mountains, sharing special moments at church with her church family, but most of all, she loved spending time with her own family. Even in the toughest times, she remained a light and a blessing to everyone who knew her. A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Morris Chapel Cemetery in Trinity. Pastor Chris Reese will officiate. Pallbearers will be Justin Montgomery, Steven Montgomery, Jordan Williams, Alex Garcia, Josh Wiley, and Eli Cox. Joyce is survived by her daughters, Donna (Chuck) Montgomery, Melissa Williams, and Jamie (Rickey) Hughes; grandchildren, Justin Montgomery, Steven Montgomery, Jordan Williams, Alex Garcia(Lily), and Lydia Hughes; great grandchildren, Kaden Montgomery and Louie Montgomery; sisters, Elvina (Stanley) Wiley, Dianna Lacey, and Delaine Terrell; brother, Stuart Wooters; special pet, Lacey Girl; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also lovingly remembered by her church family, whom she loved very much. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Williams; parents, Elden and Greta Wooters; sisters, Roseanne Casillas and Karen Wooters; niece, Priscilla Casillas Yates; and her great friend, Tim Way.
