Photo of Audra Reid This obituary was beautifully written by Audra’s family:

Audra Denise Reid, 55, recently of Town Creek, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2026, surrounded by love, where she lived with her daughter, son-in-law, and grandchildren. Audra was a free-spirited nomad at heart—creative, curious, and unapologetically herself. She was endlessly crafty, an amateur instrumentalist, and a believer in natural healing, herbs, crystals, and the quiet magic of the earth. She had a legendary love for pickles and single-handedly kept Wintergreen Lifesavers in business, rarely seen without a bag nearby. More than anything, Audra adored her grandsons, Rowan and Sawyer Norton, whom she loved to spoil with candy, laughter, and quality time. She was also devoted to her fur baby, Beast, who shared her enthusiasm for Lifesavers and was rarely far from her side. Audra is survived by her children Savannah (Riley) Norton, Andrew ( Emily) Reid, Ethan (Fiance Abigail Bartol) Winters; her grandchildren Rowan and Sawyer Norton; and her sister Alicia (Greg) Heatherly. She was preceded in death by her daughters Bethany Chanez and PattiAnn “PJ” Winters; her parents Richard and Myrna Reid and her stepmother Davonna Reid. Audra will be cremated. At a later time, her family will honor her wishes by taking her ashes—along with those of her recently passed best friend—to the beach, a place they always dreamed of going together but were kept from by health challenges. In this way, their long-awaited journey will finally be fulfilled. Audra will be remembered for her free spirit, her unconventional heart, her love of simple joys, and the deep love she gave to those lucky enough to know her.
