Silas O’Neal Patterson, born on March 10, 1936, passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 89. He was a resident of Ashville, Alabama.
A graveside service will be held at Gum Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 7568 County Rd 33, Ashville, AL 35953, on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 at 2:00 pm. Bro. Joseph Rashleigh will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Patterson worked as a Tool and Die maker for many years. He loved dirt track racing, NASCAR, and building model airplanes.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jo Patterson; daughter, Cynthia Lynne Harbin; and brother, Gerald Patterson.
Mr. Patterson is survived by his granddaughter, Angel Harbin (Amanda); great granddaughter, Austin Harbin; and brother, Charles (Billie) Patterson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Gum Springs cemetery fund.
