DANVILLE-The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports a single-vehicle accident has taken the life of a Danville man and sent a 14-year-od juvenile to hospital with injuries:
“A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 9:27 p.m. Sunday, January 4, has claimed the life of a Danville man.
Alabert S. Anano Jr., 52, was fatally injured when the 2000 Mercedes E320 he was driving left the roadway, struck a ditch, a culvert, and then overturned several times. Anano was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. A 14-year-old juvenile, who was a passenger in the Mercedes, was injured and airlifted to an area hospital for medical treatment.
The crash occurred on South Danville Road near Hunter Road, approximately five miles southeast of Danville in Morgan County.
Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.”
