Willard Hal Jones Age 78 — Spruce Pine, Alabama passed away on December 30, 2025, at
Hellen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, surrounded by family.
Born December 29, 1947, in Franklin County, Alabama, to Price and Christine Jones. Hal grew up with a deep love for country life. He was a welder by trade for most of his life. At home he could be found in the barn more often than in the house. Everything he touched — whether it had fur or feathers, leaves or blossoms — flourished under his care.
Family mattered deeply to Hal, whether they were blood or chosen. He was a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose quiet wisdom and steady presence will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra; his brother, Odell; and his sisters, Brenda, Pat, and Lucy. He is survived by his daughter, Kim and her husband Sean; his grandson, Dylan and his wife Kristy; his great-grandchild Vaeh; his sisters Linda and Ruth; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Services will be held at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, Alabama. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 3rd with the funeral service to follow. The service will be officiated by Roger Jones.
