Betty Frances Knight (nee Bouldin) passed away on 1/1/2026 at the age of 84. Betty was born in Nashville in September 3, 1941 and raised in Fackler, Alabama.
She graduated from Scottsboro High School in 1959, BA from the University of Alabama in 1963 and her MS from Georgia State University. She and her husband met at the University of Alabama and were married in 1964. She worked in education for over 30 years, mainly in Georgia, as a teacher and later as a school librarian. She lived in the Atlanta, Ga. area from 1967 to 2002.
She retired with her husband in 2002 to the family farm (Century Farm) in Roaches Cove, Fackler, Alabama, where she enjoyed restoring the original ancestral cabin and cemetery, and was an active member of several social organizations such as Master Gardeners, Scottsboro Garden Club, American Red Cross and the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Betty was a devout Christian, a member of Mike Worrell’s Sunday School Class (FBC Scottsboro), and a true believer.
She is survived by her husband William S. Knight, her son William S. Knight, Jr. (Rebecca), her daughter Amy Frances Haney (Robert), and her grandchildren, Logan E. Knight and William S. Knight, III.
