Morris Wayne Edmundson, 94, of Hartselle passed away peacefully, surrounded by family at his home Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
Mr. Edmundson was born January 1, 1931 to Fred D. Edmundson and Christine Evans Edmundson. He proudly served his country as a Hospital Corpsman Third Class in the United States Navy during the Korean War.
He was employed with Montsano/Solutia over 30 years. He married Mary Evelyn Williams in 1955. He was a devoted husband and lovingly cared for Evelyn until her passing in 2018.
Morris Wayne was a member of First Christian Church of Hartselle, where he served as Deacon Emeritus, a role that reflected his lifelong commitment to service and faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother- Thomas Edmundson, and his wife of 63 years.
He is survived by his children, daughter Pam Berry (Jim), sons Mark (Janet) and Matt (Lynn), 3 grandchildren Katie Davis (Brad), Grace and Reed Edmundson and a great grandson Preston Davis. Surviving siblings are Carolyn Smith, JoAnn Hunter (Gene), Alice Carr, Kathy Reynolds, Glen Edmundson (Barbra), Ray Edmundson (Oneda) and Marie Hollis. Other survivors include a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, January 2, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and the service will be Saturday, January 3 at 11:00 AM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Mickey Johnson officiating. A private graveside service will be held Monday, January 5 at Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
