Mrs. Janice Marie Walker was born April 25, 1950 in Decaturville, TN to her parents the late Mr. Charles Edward Walker and Mrs. Mary Jo Tucker Walker. She spent her childhood in the Bath Springs area developing a deep love for the beauty of nature that surrounded her and especially the people of her community. Throughout her adult years she would work in several different positions for different company’s most notably working for the Decatur County Rescue Squad, driving the School Bus and sitting for the elderly. All of which occupations included her devotion to serving others in their greatest time of need.  Mrs. Walker was a Godly woman as she was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the Full Gospel House of Praise on Beech Creek in Clifton for many years. She leaves with those who knew her best, the greatest example of selflessness and loyal devotion as she exemplified an extraordinary legacy of love and care rarely seen in today’s world. Not only did she illustrate her love for her community but many times throughout her life, opened the doors of her home and her heart to anyone who was in need often times “adopting those” who had no one. She remarked many times, she did not believe in friends, only family.  She was a “straight talker” and could always be depended upon to voice her unabashed opinion if anyone was in need of her advice and sometimes even if no one asked for it as anyone who knew her would say she had ‘no filter” . She possessed a bright, cheerful personality, she loved sharing jokes and “cutting up” with everyone she was in contact with and was never seen allowing anger to well up inside her and cloud her judgment. In her leisure time she could be found tending to her flower garden as she loved watching the seed she planted grow and bloom into beautiful flowers, cooking for her family, which included family, friends and neighbors as everyone was always welcome in her home, spending time with her two beloved cats “Pretty Girl” and “Big O” and of course spending time with her loved ones. Mrs. Janice Marie Walker passed from this life on December 28, 2025 at the home in Clifton, TN making her stay on this earth some 75 years, 8 months and 3 days.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughters Alison Walker of Clifton, TN, Ashley Moser of Lakeland, Fl and Tammy Parsons; grandchildren Autumn Moser of Savannah, TN and Robert Parsons of Counce, TN; siblings Linda Ortega of Bon Aqua, TN and Brandon Maxedon of Selmer, TN; as well as many other family members, those “adopted by the heart” and dear loved ones; as well as he special caregiver Dawn Boyd who spent the last 5 years as another member of the family.
