Lester Gilbert Bonds, age 73, of Guntersville, passed away on December 26, 2025. He was born on October 22, 1952, to the late Harlon and Sadie Bonds.
Lester was a 1972 graduate of Douglas High School. He worked at Pilgrim’s Pride for more than 30 years before his retirement, where he was known for his strong work ethic and quiet dependability. Lester loved his family deeply and was proud of the life he built and the friends he made along the way.
He is survived by his daughter, Emily (Nathanael) Morgan; sisters, Edna (Billy) Smith and Phylis Brown; sister-in-law, Joyce Bonds; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephew.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Buford Bonds.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the Chapel of Adams Brown Service Funeral Home, with Bro. Matt Long and Bro. James Bridges officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Thomas Lawson, Keith Lawson, Alton Adams, Danny Shirley, Hugh Peek, Dean Ragon, Daryl Rice, and Darron Rice will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
