Clois passed away peacefully, at home in Muscle Shoals, surrounded by her family. Visitation will be at Colbert Memorial Chapel Friday December 26, 2025 from 9-11 with a service to follow at 11. Gerald Pennington will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Martha Pearl Shelton, of Spring Valley Community in Colbert County, and brother Edward Shelton of Montgomery Alabama.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Stanley C. Skipworth, Daughter Angela Bush (Todd), and son Jerrold Skipworth (Karen). She was blessed with 5 grandchildren, Josh Skipworth (Macy), Alexandria Skipworth, Kaitlyn Satterfield (Jack), Mitchell Glover, and Aabrea Bush, and 3 great grandchildren, Darby Dee Skipworth, Rylee Shay Griffith, and Francesca Faith Satterfield.
She built a distinguished career in the soft drink industry retiring as Administration Operation Manager from Buffalo Rock Company, Tuscumbia Division. Her career spanned a time frame of over 36 years with the Buffalo Rock Company.
Her leadership, integrity, and dedication made her truly respected by her colleagues, and friends.
She is a life member of the Florence Moose Lodge 2034, The Elks Lodge 2860, and The American Legion Auxiliary 146.
She was a Past President of the Alabama Moose Association and in March she received the Lifetime Achievement Award. She enjoyed traveling with her husband to all state and International Moose Conventions whenever possible.
Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her beloved family, and will certainly be missed by all.
Pall Bearers will be Josh Skipworth, Jack Satterfield, Foster Gregory, Chris James, Randy Nix, and Fred Morrow.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Aveanna Hospice; their patience and compassion helped us through this most difficult time.
